Hop to It! Quick Turnaround on Travel Designs

In February 2012 we met with our client Novartis Animal Health about creating a visual theme for an incentive trip to celebrate a successful sales year for employees – the surprise for us was that the trip was set for March!
Travel Designs - Novartis Animal Health

The trip destination was Puerto Rico, so we knew we had a graphically fun and vibrant place to work with. We went to work quickly collecting reference and inspirational imagery to use while we were coming up with the two theme concepts. One design team focused on the resort’s location, on a cliff directly overlooking the ocean, while the other chose to focus on the lush tropical vegetation and wildlife – specifically, the native Puerto Rican coqui frog. Those little guys are adorable.

Both concepts were very well received and ultimately the client went with the coqui frog. Since the timing to step-off the required design components was so immediate, both teams went full steam ahead to create a refined package of design materials based on the selected concept. In less than four weeks we sailed through the approval process, completed production and had everything delivered on time for the trip.

I think even the coqui frog himself would be impressed.

Signal Working with ADF (American Dance Festival)

American Dance Festival, Gala Invitation

Having previously worked with the American Dance Festival on their annual report design, Creative Director Woody Holliman is excited about another upcoming project for ADF. Here are shots of previous work he did for ADF while at Flywheel: the Gala Invitation featuring dancers from Shen Wei Dance Arts. It’s not every day you find a client willing to use translucent envelopes and sealing wax!

This next assignment from ADF Director Jodee Nimerichter will be even more challenging.  “Signal will be designing a capital campaign brochure and marketing strategy to help ADF expand their facilities and programming in the local community,” says Woody. “We can’t wait to get started!”
